On February 26, 2026, we proudly celebrated the opening of our Youth Art Month Exhibition 🎨✨
What made the evening even more special? Three West Point Middle/High School students took an unexpected opportunity to give back—stepping into the art studio to teach elementary students how to create pinch pots. This beautiful moment of mentorship was completely unplanned and truly inspiring!
The story didn’t end there 💛 After the artwork was fired, the students reunited when the older students personally delivered the finished pieces to the elementary classrooms.
We couldn’t be more proud of their initiative, creativity, and leadership. Moments like these show the true power of art to connect, inspire, and build community. 🌟

Spring is in the air and in the garden! 🌸🌱 The bulbs that the Environmental Club planted in the fall are coming up nicely 🌷✨ We hope to plant spring bulbs soon 🌼
Also, the kale 🥬 and carrots 🥕 have overwintered just fine! The carrots will need a bit more time ⏳ but the kale will be ready to harvest soon 🙌
The Environmental Club plans to plant some fruits 🍓 and veggies 🥒 soon. We were wondering — does anyone from the community have any special requests or suggestions? 🤔💬

Today we celebrate Pi Day, honoring the mathematical constant pi (3.14 and beyond). From calculating the area of a circle to solving real-world engineering problems, pi strengthens critical thinking skills in our students! 📐🥧

Our Science 8 students had an amazing trip to the Science Museum of Virginia yesterday! 🧪🔬
During a hands-on engineering workshop, students designed and built mini bobsleds from random materials and raced them to see whose design was the fastest. It was a fun way to apply physics concepts like motion, friction, and design thinking.
Check out some highlights from our day below! 📸

Fourth grade wrapped up their novel study of Blood on the River with a special exploration of Native American culture! Two students from the Mattaponi and Upper Mattaponi tribes shared fascinating artifacts with their classmates—did you know turtle shells were once used as a calendar? 🐢📚
Students had the unique opportunity to see items they had read about in their novel, making history come alive. They also learned traditional dances and discovered more about Native American culture. What a wonderful experience celebrating learning and sharing from one another! ✨
