About West Point Public Schools

The Town of West Point is located within King William County, about 30 minutes from Gloucester, Richmond, and Williamsburg. West Point was incorporated as a town in 1870 at the confluence of the Mattaponi and Pamunkey Rivers. West Point Public Schools runs its school division independent from King William County, which is rare in Virginia.
