In April, we recognize National Internship Awareness Month! Internships and job shadows are fantastic ways for students to gain valuable real-world experience, explore career paths, and develop essential skills. April is World Autism Acceptance Month! We’re proud to celebrate neurodiversity and the unique strengths ALL our students bring to the classroom. Our commitment is to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for each and every individual we serve. We appreciate our dedicated educators and staff, who work tirelessly to meet the needs of our students!

Tickets are now on sale for the Theatre II charity performance, Maybe the Butler Did It?, on Friday, April 26th at 6:30 P.M. Maybe the Butler Did It? is a comedy in which nine people have found themselves trapped in the middle of a murder mystery. The characters are on a mission: to solve the murder and win a millionaire’s fortune. But, could the killer be among them? Maybe the Butler Did It features outrageous characters and quirky twists that will have you guessing until the end. Could it be the wannabe writer? The “devoted” wife? The supermodel? Or… maybe the butler did it? Tickets are $5 and all sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Thanks to the work of Quinn Agnew, Class of 2027, high school students can now become members of the Key Club! The Key Club is an organization focused on service to the school and community. Yesterday afternoon, Mr. Dick Goyne, President of the Kiwanis Club of Middlesex, Mr. James Shackelford, Capital District Assistant Membership Coordinator, and two of their colleagues, presented the newly elected officers with the official Key Club banner. The club is advised by Ms. Rush and Mrs. Powell.

Last evening, West Point Elementary School's preschool programs and community preschool partners came together to share information with families about preschool offerings in West Point.

This week is National Robotics Week, a celebration of curiosity and exploration! By encouraging students to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through robotics, we're preparing them for an ever-evolving world and the exciting opportunities it holds.

Mrs. Whitehurst’s class made lap books to learn about the Solar Eclipse today.

WPPS students and staff safely viewed the solar eclipse this afternoon. We learn best from our experiences!

Students in Honors English 11 participated in a college enrollment game designed by the College Board. Ms. Rush led students in a discussion about college application review and the importance of personal qualifications. Students participated as candidates for admission and as members of an admission committee. Ms. Rush worked as an admission counselor for five years!
