Welcome to West Point Public Schools.  I am truly honored to work in a school division and community that share a deep commitment to the success of every student.  Creating an environment in which every student can be successful is our most important responsibility.   West Point Public Schools believes that we serve as “A Bridge to Opportunity” by providing our students with high quality educational and extracurricular experiences that enable students to build a bridge to a promising and productive future.   We are committed to ensuring that our students are provided learning opportunities that enable them to become:

  • Good citizens,
  • Innovators,
  • Critical/global thinkers,
  • Effective communicators,
  • Adaptable and flexible problem solvers,
  • Digitally literate, and
  • Team Players.

West Point Public Schools has much to be proud of, including being honored as a National Blue Ribbon School Division for outstanding student achievement, educational leadership and exemplary teaching as well as being only one of two divisions in the Commonwealth of Virginia to be named as a Highly Distinguished Title I School Division.  We are committed to not resting on our past laurels and continually challenge ourselves to keep pace with advancements in education and the global society to ensure that we are preparing WPPS students for their rapidly changing future.   Every staff member wants the best for our students and you could not ask for more dedicated and hard-working individuals to teach your children.

It is my pledge to the West Point community that we will continue to have a school division that you can be proud of and know that your child (or children) is being provided with the best educational experiences possible.
